What Is DIFC 2.0?

A New Financial Capital Within Dubai

On 27 January 2026, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum unveiled the next chapter of Dubai's iconic financial district — DIFC 2.0, officially named the Zabeel District. It is one of the most ambitious urban development projects in the world.

Spanning 7.1 million square feet of land, the expansion will more than double the size of the original DIFC and create a fully integrated district — blending world-class finance, cutting-edge technology, luxury residences, retail, leisure and education under one masterplan.
