Can foreigners buy at Sei Saadiyat?
Yes. Saadiyat Island is one of Abu Dhabi’s designated investment zones, where foreign nationals can own property on a 100% freehold basis. Title is registered through the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) and the DARI platform rather than the Dubai Land Department.
How do buying costs compare with Dubai?
Abu Dhabi charges a 2% property registration fee where Dubai Land Department charges 4%. On a AED 2.95 million purchase that is a saving of roughly AED 59,000 at entry.
